There's a mystery going on at the carnival

You hear an eldritch laugh coming from the carnival tent. 

Eager to get the best shot, you get in... but the enemy has seen you, and you now have to escape! 

Armed with your camera, you must find your way out of this doomed place. 

But things aren't right in this wicked tent : objects change places everytime you take a picture. 

Style

This Pac-Man like game brings challenge to another level: you can only see where you are when you take a picture and you have a limited amount of films.

Play with  sound on

Each object makes a different sound! Use sounds to locate yourself in space.  

Move around 

Use W, A, S, D  to move.

Take a picture

Use the Left mouse click to take a picture. You have a limited amount. Pick up films to get more.

Recharge your camera

Use the scrolling wheel of your mouse to recharge the film in the camera. Just like an old film camera!

Don't get caught!

The ennemies are moving too but you don't really know where they are! All you know is that they are somewhere in the buent area in the picture. Taking photos makes the enemies freeze for a short time allowing you to escape.

Creative Game Jam 2024

Thème : Disparition

Le jeu intègre le thème de plusieurs façon. Premièrement les FPS ont "disparues". Ensuite, le niveau disparait et réapparait avec une configuration différente à chaque photo.  Finalement, les images disparaissent tranquillement quand la pellicule brule autour des ennemis.

Défi technique : Gueule de bois (la caméra ne doit pas bouger)

Nous avons décidé de pousser la mécanique de caméra immobile encore plus loin en rendant l'image de celle-ci immobile aussi.

Assets utilisées : Pratiquement rien

Photo de la grande roue et de la tache d'encre pour l'icône de la photo développée. Tout le reste à été fait par nous!
